Excellent. Sesame balls were delicious. Coffee is nice. Staff are friendly and efficient. Sandwiches are great.

Legit banh mi. Stuffed full with filling, generous with the pâté and mayo, and the perfect ratio of cilantro. The baguette is crispy, light, and airy, quite a contrast to Lee's Sandwiches where their bread is chewy and stale.

Dakao's bánh mì đặc biệt hit the spot! It was a no frills sandwich shop--you order, you pay, you wait, you walk out with your food--but its simplicity is a reminder that not all great dishes come with pretty plates and garnishes. Their baguette was fresh, and crunchy but not too hard on the bite. The pickled daikon and carrots offered a relief of acidic sweetness and lightness, accentuated by cucumbers and cilantro. The variety of deli meats included were standard but of good quality. I didn't mind the proportion of ingredients per bite (I'm kind of a small eater), but I could see how someone might want more meat, pate, or mayo. I'd definitely keep this on my list of places to return to when I want a good, mom and pop type, classically done bánh mì!

Been here several times before but never did a review. Delicious and fresh banh mi sandwiches at an affordable price. A very nondescript Vietnamese sandwich shop located in a strip mall right by a Chinese grocery and an Asian bbq restaurant. They also offer different kinds of Vietnamese delicacies but the earlier you get there the more to choose from. Not familiar with the names but the guy at the counter was helpful enough to explain what they're made of. It's mostly a to-go shop but there are about 3 tables for a quick dine in spot. On this late afternoon, I ordered the #6 which is a grilled pork banh mi and an iced coffee. There were still a few rice cakes left and I chose a sticky rice with mung beans inside which also came with a small pot of simple syrup to dip in. And fresh spring roll with grilled sausage. My banh mi was so good, Paired with the iced coffee, Hit the spot! A good go-to shop for banh mi sandwiches!

Right down the street from the "famous" sandwich shop, you'll find Dakao tucked in the corner of a strip mall. This little spot is no frills, but will save some bill$ when compared with others. Made to order, with a revolving door of patrons these sandos are fresh & tasty without fail. Dakao offers fast service, mostly takeout due to interior size. *fresh bread available! *locals favorite.

Fast $6.47 Banh Mi Thit (Pork). For SoCal banh mi loves, this place is a 3.5 star for being decent, no fuss place (not expecting much). For Vegas, it's a 4 star. Woot woot! Finally a place that is better than my disgruntled local picks...like places that taste like American potato salad, or Lees Sandwiches (A banh mi chain I never thought I'd ever need to ever buy a banh mi again. But that was my SoCal life thinking. Vegas life with the banh mi scene is a desperate situation). Depending on when they sellout, they can close earlier. This place reminds me of typical casual take out Vietnamese food like banh mi, fried snacks, and quick food to go. Staff speak English. Takes credit card. 2 small tables here but it's more of a takeout. Staff suggested both #1 House and #2 Thit. Their diakon and carrots are not sweetened or even overly sweetened like many other places. $6.47 #1. House Special Bun Mi (cold cut style). I love cold cuts but one isn't for me. $6.47 #6 Bun Mi Thit (pork) is probably the recommended pick. $15 Canh Bun (Vietnamese Water Spinach Noodle Soup). Simple, and clean. I've never had this before. The soup isn't as think as my 1 experience with Bun Rieu at a different restaurant. The broth here was light, but I didn't really get much seafood infused taste. Nonetheless, I would reorder this again if craving comfort night soup. Takeout to heat at home, or eat there. $2.50 Fried Banana. Yum! You'd think it'd be soggy or spongy but it wasn't. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It wasn't overly sweet either. I may be interested to try next time -- $11 Chao Long (Pork Offal Congee). $6.47 #6 Bun Mi Thit (pork) to confirm if consistency is still the same. $2.50 Fried Banana again because I love pastry like desserts.

They open at 8am. You better come early because their stuff is gone quickly. The owners are very nice even I don't know a word they say, but just point at the items you want from the display, mission completed. They have probably the best baguette in town, and they are "buy 5 get one free". I love their veggie one and cured pork one. They have really good Vietnamese ham roll which is perfect for noodle soup, stir fry, or just put in sandwiches or salad. They have some very authentic desserts and pastries, too. And of course, the very strong and sweet condensed milk Vietnamese coffee. My favorite here is the dry rice noodle box!! If you want to dine in, they can heat up the noodles or pastry for you.
